  1. Tell your hubby, if he is serious about riding a motorcycle, then there are no short cuts.  He has to take the trouble and go the whole hog.

Do assure him, that the rewards will be sweet.  Plus he will be a more confident rider.

Let him commence his new innings with a 125cc from Honda.

  2. send for a lerner bike licence and ul b aloud 2 ride a 50cc and some 125cc's with a learner bike licence

  3. See the section on DL196

    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Lea...

“a DL196 certificate validating a provisional moped or provisional motorcycle entitlement lasts for two years - CBT will have to be retaken if both theory and practical tests are not passed within the two year certificate life”

However, if he had his car licence before 1 Feb 2001 or if he passed his car licence during the period that he held a valid CBT he can ride a moped (“A moped has a maximum design speed not exceeding 50 km/h (approx. 31 mph). It has an engine capacity no greater than 50 cc and can be moved by pedals, if first used before 1 August 1977. A learner motorcycle has an engine up to 125 cc and a power output not exceeding 11 kW”)

  4. uhh... this is for america, but it might help... it's probably simliar

50cc and above need a liscense....

49cc doesn't make much of a motorcycle, tell him to get his liscense...
