What cell should i purchase a hitech one?

go over to www.phonescoop.com and check out reviews.  the reviews are made by random people (anyone actually) instead of one biased editor.  you can search by carrier or brand, and look around for something you feel comfortable with (for the next 1-2 years).  if you get a smartphone, make sure it has a GOOD amount of memory if you use the internet.  I had a crackberry curve for a week before i had to get rid of it.  (when the memory fills from internet browsing, it'll clear your call history.  NOT the best thing on a business phone.   Also, blackberry's email system CAN be downloaded onto non-blackberries (works on mine).  so if you have to have that system, you can get it.  But do your own research and weigh out which "cons" you can deal with/get around and which "pro's" you fall in love with.  and if you get a "fancy" phone, make sure it has windows mobile, it'll be way better than blackberry's software as you can add PLENTY to it.
