  1. 20th century because I met my best friend 14 years ago through the personals of a newspaper delivered and printed via 20th cent technology, from another town, without which our paths may never have crossed! The invention of cars and phones from the 20th century made it possible for us to meet :) along with the technology to post about it now, rocks 20th cent.

    Other advantages of 20th cent:

    - no more outhouses

    - indoor plumbing

    - cars

    - phones

    - computers

    - airplanes

    - television

    - movies

    - radio

    - refrigeration

    - junk food

    - fast food

    - pizza outside Italy

    - records, CDs, DVDs

    - hospitals, chemotherapy, heart surgery

    - advanced dentistry, fillings, root canals

    - credit cards

    - dishwashers

    - central air/heat

    and much, much more.

  4. I work as a heritage interpretor - a bit like a re-enactor - so I get to take on the characters and dress up in the clothes of different time periods.  My favourite so far is the 1920s cos all of the clothes are so glamorous and elegant.  I also really love the 60s - I woulda been a mod and I wouldve rode everywhere on my scooter!

  5. This century. We are on the verge of making all kinds of medical advances. This century will see men routinely going into space. The advances in transportation will be fantastic. Fossil fuels will be a thing of the past. Communication will be so instant that the world will be connected for real.

The down sides?  Well guess the weather will change drastically and if we let them wars will change the pattern of the globe. Major species will disappear. The rise of the oceans will cause coastal flooding. These are just a few of the problems I see rising out of the next century

  9. I think I'd like the nineteenth century because everyone rode horses and used them to farm and tv and internet weren't invented.  I'd have to be healthy (medical "technology" was soooo scary) and I'd have to live in the country (cities were filthy and stinky).  No need to be any further back than that in history.
