If you could pick 6-8 courses what would they be? I'm thinking about:

A+

N+

MCSE/MCSA

CCNA

Redhat Certification

CCNP

  1. A+, Network+ and Security+ are beginning certifications. A+ is the basic and required exam. What interests you? A Network Engineer, by Microsoft's designation, designs enterprise LANs. An MCSA administers LANs. CCNA are also advised as Cisco routers are an important part of the design and admin process. With the flood of cheap labor from India and China, thanks to our elected officials, the wages are falling and I have seen MCSE demanded for Desktop Support.

You could go for the Unix/Linux route or the Novell route. It is up to you. I would do some reading.

    I hope this helps.
