  1. Go to your local building department web site, they should list them. Also you will need a license and insurance if you plan on working on your own. Hope that helps!


  2. EPA Refrigerant Certification!!

  3. HVAC Tech.: You need to be tested on the various EPA sections. The ones you pass You will be certified for, any you fail you can retake later.Most Community and Junior colleges can tell you exactly what is needed and the costs involved. Good Luck!!

  4. EPA is required.You can moonlight if you want to but you could be held responsible if something happened ,like a fire or a person was injured and it could be connected to a recent repair on an a/c or heating system.Unlikely, but I have known of an instance or two, that it has happened.
