What challenges do you anticipate facing as a teacher of young children?

To pray for enough patience not to kill one of the little tykes.

First and foremost of course are the tantrums the kids will show , then, they will surely try how long your patience is... So, you better be ready... the never ending questions they will ask you... also...  but it will be fun if you love what you are doing and you love kids....

Your energy level must be constantly high.

Your smile must be there.

Words of praise must be plenty.

When you have a headache and there are twenty screaming kids wanting your attention - can be hard.

When a child goes missing and you're alone with twenty other students.

But most of all:

Keeping the curriculum interesting enough to hold their attention span long enough each and every day.

Toilet training/accidents is another challenge you'll face.
