What challenges does climate change present to the american crocodile as a species?

  1. I think it might help their species if it allows them to thrive farther north and increase their range.


  2. Aside from the obvious changes to their swampy homes, drying up and fires etc, it's possible that global warming will affect their hatchling babies. A lot of reptiles depend upon temperature to regulate the s*x of babies. I can't remember exactly how it goes, but warmer temperatures will result in male offspring and cooler temperatures will result in female offspring (or vice versa).

    That's gotta put a spoke in  their wheels.
