  2. haven't got a clue, he just keeps saying he's going to change everything. Scares the h**l out of me.

  3. The only specifics I have heard are not very specific, "the change you/we/I? need". I know what changes I would like to see and I don't think Obama's going to take care of them, much less the ones he eludes to.

  4. Here's just a tiny chunk from his very specific policy agenda.  Direct quote from his website:

       *  Provide a Tax Cut for Working Families: Obama will restore fairness to the tax code and provide 150 million workers the tax relief they need. Obama will create a new "Making Work Pay" tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per working family. The "Making Work Pay" tax credit will completely eliminate income taxes for 10 million Americans.

        * Eliminate Income Taxes for Seniors Making Less than $50,000: Barack Obama will eliminate all income taxation of seniors making less than $50,000 per year. This proposal will eliminate income taxes for 7 million seniors and provide these seniors with an average savings of $1,400 each year. Under the Obama plan, 27 million American seniors will also not need to file an income tax return.

        * Simplify Tax Filings for Middle Class Americans: Obama will dramatically simplify tax filings so that millions of Americans will be able to do their taxes in less than five minutes. Obama will ensure that the IRS uses the information it already gets from banks and employers to give taxpayers the option of pre-filled tax forms to verify, sign and return. Experts estimate that the Obama proposal will save Americans up to 200 million total hours of work and aggravation and up to $2 billion in tax preparer fees.

  5. He wants to raise taxes.

  6. He will destroy the American health care industry by turning an exceptional private system into the nationalized nightmare they have in Canada and the UK.  Canadians and Brits come to America to get routine care that their systems deny.  When the US is equally screwed up, where will people go?  India?

  7. Well, he plans on "creating jobs" yet taxing corporation even more, thus, indirectly decreasing jobs (which I don't know if he's figured this out yet).  He will have to increase taxes not only for the wealthy (who happen to be the biggest employers) but will eventually have to turn to those in the "middle" of the income level, thus making sure we have less in our pockets (the rich will remain so because they will figure out how to make the system work to their advantage....I'd like to see Obama go after his Holllywood crowd for increased taxes first).  He also plans to continue the detrimental policy of not allowing "choice" for parents when it comes to education for their children.  He also has proposed to have government employees determine if someone needs "parenting" classes when their child is born (and heaven knows, what the guidelines will be on what makes a fit or unfit parent).  He also plans on making sure that current persons in the medical field either must perform abortions and give out contraceptions or avoid health care altogether (I guess he fails to realize that Catholic Hospitals and medical facilities along with many of their drs. and nurses will be forced to no longer treat any of the sick, thus making the healthcare system even more strained than it already is and no amount of Universal Health Care will change that).  Need I go on?
