Surfing contests are not shown live on TV because they take too long to run.  Pretty much any major contest and all of the world tour contests are shown live on the web though.  You can check on http://www.aspworldtour.com to see what contests are running.  Fuel TV runs highlight shows of the contests a few weeks after they are run.

  4. sometimes you can tune into kinetic t.v. every now and then they show some contests.
