I would like to know which channels are most likely being used on Marine Radios. Either by USCG, fishing, or shrimping boats.

Now sure if it depends on the area or not. But the location I am looking for is between Wilmigton, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC.

If possible, the boats out of Calabash, NC and Little River, SC. Those are the most popular fishing and shrimping boat area.

I'm not sure if it matters on where you live, since they are all nationwide freqs. I understand I wont hear someone from a few states away. Not sure if there is a set channel for fishing and shrimping boats.

Thanks

  2. Yeh and if you talk over those charter captains, you are sure to make an enemy or two

  3. other than channel 16 which is the emergency channel monitored by the coast guard, you should ask the locals the channels that are used. in my area 68 and 72 are the most used by fishing boats and charter boats.
