  1. Density is also a factor. A Cast Iron skillet, and a Aluminum skillet will both absorb heat. But the Cast Iron skillet, will hold the heat longer, and distribute it more evenly.


  2. Dull, rough surfaces aborb heat well. Shiny/polished surfaces (like foil) that reflect heat well, don't absorb heat - because - it's reflected!

    Dark material aborbs more then light material.

  3. I'm not sure if I understand your question, however....... Aluminum will absorb heat quite nicely. Also... Any hard surface with a dark color aborbs heat very well.
