What characteristics make a good actor?

From all I have learned thus far, acting isn't about learning to be who you aren't, it is about finding some part of you that relates to the piece and applying it in a real manner.  Therefore, a good actor is someone who truly knows themselves and is aware of their capabilities and is willing to let their guard down to expose their own securities/insecurities and portray the work naturally.

-Love for what you do

-Being able to fool in audience into believing you're something you aren't

-Confidence

-Nothing that cannot be worked at (besides the first three)

acting certainly is not fooling people.  There are so many qualities of personality that a person must have to be a good actor that noone could simply list them,. First you must have the gift. Then you need to be a good person, well balanced and healthy.  Well experienced and trained are assets.

Willing to work hard and a good team player. Responsible, on time, and with prior experience is always a plus.
