What characters in the book to kill a mockingbird can be compared to mockingbirds and why?

  1. I'd say that the mockingbirds in the book are Boo Radley, Tom Robinson, and Mrs. Dubose. Boo is a mockingbird because he didn't do anything wrong, yet everyone judges him. Tom because he was wrongly convicted for a crime that he did not commit and was killed for it. Mrs. Dubose is one because well, actually, she's sort of a mockingbird because she taught the kids what courage was and died fighting her demons.  


  2. Boo and Atticus. They're the characters I chose in my essay on this very subject in seventh grade. :)

  3. Tom because he was wrongly put to death for a crime he didn't commit. He was innocent just like a mockingbird. They just sing so why kill them?
