I have many diabetic family members

I donate to several; I help the local food banks because I feel that's a real and present need.  I also donate to the American Diabetes Association, as I have many diabetic family members.  I donate to my synagogue, as they help support several good works in Seattle, and they often know of people who need help that I would have no way of knowing about.

The balance of my donations goes to political and environmental organizations.

I usually donate my time, food and clothes. I have volunteered a lot for, and donated items to; the Austin Area Food Bank & Safeplace. Just last night we signed up and donated to the Texas Campaign for the Environment. I always support the sales campaigns of the kids in our neighborhood when they are trying to raise money for band or athletics. And of course you know I can't resist those Girls Scout Cookies!
