What chemical will clear up green murky pond water?

The pond is just 2 months old and I can not get it clear please HELP!

  1. To clear up the pond water you need a proper pump filter installed which will clear up the water in a matter of days - this is the only effective method I know and I am an experienced gardener.

  2. Aquatic plants (particularly the water hyacinth) clarify the water in a couple of days, and NO chemicals!

  3. You can use a flocculent to clarify your pond water.  Please do not use water hyacinth as it is an exotic invasive plant and may even be illegal in your state.  The first site is information on water hyacinth.  The second is for a pond flocculent.  Good luck!

  4. You can add 1 tablespoon .3% Hydrogen Peroxide per ten gallons of water.  That would help.  I have an Excel spreadsheet that I use to figure it out, but I don't think I can attach that here...
