I have tried a mamas and papas prima viaggio and a maxi cosi. Neither fit - the seat belt is too short. I was hoping to get a travel system.

  1. I have a britax and if you have the hooks in your seat for a carseat you want need the seat beat to latch it down...They are a great car seat my son loves his..he looks like he is in a big recliner haha! But really the britax are easy to install and the best on the market...

  2. Try this site and see if it will help you and good luck.

  3. If the problem is the seatbelt length, you can buy seatbelt extensions that are made for extremely overweight persons that normal seatbelts do not fit.

  4. There are some great carseat techs at car-seat.org who can help you.

There is also a database of cars+carseats and how they fit.

  5. Very rarely is the seatbelt actually too short - especially in newer vehicles. My guess is you are installing it using the wrong belt path. Convertible car seats have 2 pathways that the seatbelt goes through - one for when you're using it rear facing and one for using it forward facing. If you use the wrong path, it won't install right. Reread the manual, also, check out the labels on the seat. You can go here for help (including some videos!) installing:

And you can also go here to search the database and see what other people have had luck with in your vehicle:'
