  1. dont make any mess !

  2. as a mom my suggestion would be to start with making sure you help make sure things get put where they belong on a daily basis.  Backpacks put way after school, shoes put away and not left in front of the door, and dirty clothes put where they belong.  Next would be the kitchen.  Put away all the dirty dishes right away, and if you see the garbage is getting full empty it before she asks.  One thing we tries at our house that lasted about two days that I wish lasted longer was nobody leaves the kitchen until everything is cleaned up. Dinner can become overwhelming at times.  Ask her if you can help make dinner.  Set the table with her or for her, and help with clean-up.  If the whole family works together it will take a shorter time and it is a good time to talk about whatever you want to or just thank her for dinner.  I could go on forever, but it is great you want to help her.  I'm sure if you want to do more if you just ask her what you could do to help she could make you a list that would best fit your family.  Good luck and don't forget to tell your mom you love her.

  3. put the dishes in the dishwasher, clean up after you use something, try to put things back where u got them

  4. you can do the dishes or clean around the house and make sure you put things back where they belong

  5. Pick up your own belongings always.

Look around the house ...is there stuff laying out where it should not be ? If so correct it.

    Set the table for dinner.

Wash the dishes up or load the dishwasher if you have one. Vacuum the floor

    Dust off the tabletops.

If you don't know how it's done ...then ask Mom to show you first , cause she'll be even more stressed if you use the wrong polish or something and ruin the furniture.

What a nice kid you are !

  6. First of all, keep your room tidy and don't leave anything laying around the house out of place. Most people don't realize this, but the best way to help your parents is to do something before they have to tell you themselves.

Try this... make a list of the chores your mom has to do when she comes home from work.  If there are beds to be made, you can do them for her.  I don't know how old you are so only you yourself can know what you can and cannot do.  She most probably has to cook.  You can help her by washing the vegetables she might want to use, or prepare the salad and cover it with some cling film and put it in the fridge so it's ready when she comes home.

Another way of helping is by putting things away that are just laying around.  This should become a habit in your every day life... if you see something, which is not in it's place, put it where it should be.  Magazines laying around, shoes or slippers in the living room, clothing left hanging on a dining room chair, etc.  We spend a lot of valuable time putting everything in place before actually cleaning a home.  The time you save her by helping her out will give her time to relax a little.  The greatest gift of all.

Try to help her by loading the washing machine and hanging the washed clothes up to dry.  If you don't know how to separate the clothes ask her to show you.  She will be more than happy.

If you're old enough to cook, go for it.  There is no greater gift for your mom to come home and find a nice hot cooked meal waiting for her.

I'm glad to see that you care enough for your mother to help her out.  If you're not sure what you can do, you can always ask her if she needs help and what you can do.

When I was a kid, my main responsibility was to keep my room tidy, put things away that were out of place and help with the dishes.

On weekends, my mom would prepare a list of chores for me to do, like vacuuming,  loading the washing machine, dusting  and keeping the plants on the balcony tidy by removing dead leaves from the plants and balcony floor.  The older I got the more I could do like iron, cook, wash windows, etc.

Everyone pulled their load in my house and the result was more free time for my mom and dad to spend on family time and it was great.
