    stove use  50amp

    lights /   fan s  / .  plugs   use  20 amps

  3. Look on the data plate on the water heater to determine the Amperage needs and it will be on the circuit rated closest to that need but higher or exactly that rating.

  4. You find this out by looking at the the metal (or foil) plate on the water heater.  If you use too little, it will keep tripping the breaker, if you use too much, the breaker might not trip when it wants to and you will burn down the house.

  5. Along with the other advice offered here, be sure to use the proper wire size. Typically #10 wire is adequate and recommended and is the max allowed for a 30 amp circuit.

  6. At least a 40amp unless you want it to trip all the time.

  7. it depends on the size of the water heater.  for most houses i would think that a 2 pole 30a would be the one to look at.
