What cities in southern Poland are worth visiting?

We'll spend a few days in Krakow and after that we would like to explore the region a bit more.

  2. Well apart from Krakow you could visit:

    - Zakopane - called also "winter capital of Poland", located in quite high Tatra Mountains, with its beautiful landscape, a lot of tourist routes and specific culture of "gorale" - "mountain people"

    - Tarnow - very nice middle-sized town 80 kilometers east from Krakow, perhaps the most beautiful old city in the region (after Krakow of course)

    - I agree that you could visit Tropsztyn Castle - very interesting place :)

  3. Zakopane is a very beautiful mountainous village definitely worth   visiting. I highly recommend it



    Lublin is nice too but kind of far from krakow but its a gorgeous town.

  4. You should go to Wroclaw (Breslau in German) , really.  Google it! Czestochowa if you want to visit the black Madonna, too.

  5. You could also visit Zakopane with Tatra Mountains.

  7. Krakow is really sweet! I love it there and you can see all the castles and stuff. Also, Wieliczka is a salt mine and they can  give you a tour it's very interesting. Idk where Jasna Gora is but you can look that up if you are Catholic they have the black Madonna there and it's very cool it's in Czestachowa and thats a bit more north like where Warszawa is

    Oswiecim (Auschwitz) - n**i biggest concetration camp during the war

    Wieliczka - amaizing salt mine

    Tropsztyn castle and  Incas treasure legend

    Łącko - they making Slivovitz there AND ONLY there - 70% alcohol - amazing taste
