What city/area is the best place to visit in Dominican Republic?

Exactly what the question says. I am wondering on the best area/city to take a vacation to within the dominican republic, based on things to do, places to stay, ect...

I like Santiago because if you want to go party, santiago is the place. Is the best clubs there.

DR is the best.

Puerto Plata area is the best to have everything, big beaches,

town at 10 min from your resort/hotel, Ocean World, Isabella de Torre (cable car) and about 30 excursions to enjoy!

Cabarete, west of Puerto Plata, is a nice place to stay.  It has the best wind surfing in the world, a beautiful beach, restaurants and shops, and a very friendly mix of European, Caribbean and American people.

1.Santo Domingo city, it has a lot of restaurants, clubs, casinos, malls, cafes, (the only thing traffic, the beach is like 35-45 minutes drive)

2. Puerto Plata tourist area with beach. (not shopping mall) night life, hotels, resorts, restaurants etc.

3. Santiago has a lot nite activities, it has many shopping mall. (but not beach)
