  1. Florida City (which is apparently the name of a town) is attempting to move the urban development boundary to allow for more expansion.  It is unclear if this will encroach directly on the everglades, but it is thought to threaten the "Everglades restoration plan."

There may be others, but I was unable to find them.

  2. The Everglades National Park has often been called "North America's most threatened park."

Despite Clinton pushing through the Everglades Restoration Act in the final days of his presidency, the Everglades still face threats from municipal expansion.

Parts of the restoration act were ignored by one of Florida's governors and by this current administration (the two have a family relationship -- what a shock).

As the first answer points out, Florida City (near Homestead Air Reserve Base) is pushing hard to build on the other side of the Everglades boundary line -- which is federally protected by the restoration act.

But threats face the Everglades along the entire "east corridor" of Florida -- a stretch of rapid development going from the north in Jupiter, to Florida City at the southern end.
