  1. I believe the answer is Quebec City in the provence of Quebec.

  2. Quebec's Old Town (Vieux-Québec) is the only North American fortified city north of Mexico whose walls still exist.

It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985, as the "Historic District of Old Quebec".

Founded in the early 17th century by French explorer Samuel de Champlain, la vielle capitale celebrates its 400th anniversary in 2008.

  3. Yes, I'm 62  & I was thinking Quebec City also. I was there on a business trip once. You can visit tonight -- just put Quebec City in your Search Engine (Yahoo, Microsoft, or Google etc.) and from the website click Tourism. Several sites show movies (even snow and winter and some history! You get a brief glimpse of the wall in the movie.

It's a really neat place to visit -- even on the web, tonight.

Goodluck, and God Bless   Signed greg (a grandad)

  5. Quebec City, the capital of Quebec.

  6. If you mean La Citadelle as a city, then yes it is the only fortified or walled city left. Also note that Quebec City has built itself around it, so your teacher might say that this is wrong.
