  1. I loved Nice because of the Italianate architecture, the shopping, the sights, and the beautiful blue beaches. The food was an interesting, yes delicious, mix of Italian and Provencal cuisine; lots of seafood, olives, oils, herbs, and very fresh. I can't give you just one restaurant because I honestly cannot remember anymore (it's been a few years since I've been there).

  2. Depends what you want - try Paris, Marseille, Aix en Provence, Bordeaux, Nice, Lyon, Lille, Nantes, Quimper, Dieppe, Rouen, St Etienne, Chamonix, Le Mans, Angers, Strasbourg, Metz... the list is endless. Read guide books and see which one appeals the most whether you are  going for culture, wine, shopping etc etc - they all have good restaurants.

  3. try the south of france. i loved it when i went. look up bandol

  4. We travelled to a few places in France this summer.  It goes without saying that Paris is a must, but our personal favourite was in the Normandy region, a city named Granville.  IT is right on the ocean and incredibly beautiful.  The food was great, the prices were reasonable and of course the ocean is right there!!!!  The Christian Dior museum was there as well and that was quite nice.  Have fun!!!!

  5. PARIS. Its great. Lot's of history, culture, etc.. Museums, theather, shops, sightseeing, etc.. Restaurants? Come on. Everything is great.

  6. Paris and Lyon.

Lyon is two hours by train (TGV)

  7. all cities are interesting to visit, i like Britanny and its celtic heart, east with the german origines, basque and catalan countries, french but independant too,

all france is interesting if you don't say you are parisian (nobody in france like parisian ppl)

  8. Carentan or Paris

Les versialles is one of the Best in Paris

  9. There are many things to see in France, many landscapes and many different interests.

If you have never been in France before and if you have only a couple of days, you have to begin with Paris I think. To make a good tour, you need one week, but you can see the main things in 3 days but it would be a pitty to miss some good things, as Versailles for instance. So it depends how long time you will spend.

Going on the french riviera in south, around Nice and Cannes on the mediterranee sea could be a good idea too.

Some others towns are also worth seing, as Lyon and Strasbourg.

You can also spend 3 or 4 days alongside the Loire River to see all the beautiful castles.

And finally, going in Normandy to see the D-Day Beaches is also fine.

About restaurants, you know probably there are so many good restaurants in France. You have to ask precisely what kind you like !
