  1. This may also be referred to as a "Project Manager" in some companies.  Usually employed by "General Contractors" accepting "bids" on construction projects.  GC's acquire "blue prints", requirements necessary, specific materials, etc.  GC's employee professional personnel whose job is to "get the numbers" and submitted to their company's management submitting final "bid" to client.  Sub-contractors, supply/material companies, electricians, plumbers, etc. are ALL contacted for their quotes in areas of expertise, the GC adds in their "profits", time frames proposed, and hopefully "bid" is accepted.

Spread sheets are attached to the "bid" making it an easy way for a potential client to review, compare, analyze.  Preferred vendors may get the "bid" no matter if "higher" or  due to past, satisfied, performance.

YOU MUST be knowledgeable in "construction", know how to read "blue prints", know how to be customer friendly, be a "leader" with the sub-contractors, know how to inspect "jobs" as completed, and the list continues, a LOT to know and learn.

Atlanta where I live is "booming" in business.  Many large "construction companies" and/or GC's as well as "small".  Call throughout the country to get ideas.  Once YOU learn this business YOU can easily move elsewhere with employment.
