  1. You can drive an RV with a normal license, unless it is some super huge RV that puts it in a different vehicle class.

I have a Friend that works for the BMV here in Indiana, I had the same question when I purchased my class A Motorhome and the answer is no.... you do not need a special license to drive your own motorhome or anyone elses...In any state...You do need a CDL if you are transporting an RV commercially for a company. It is scary to think that someone who has never driven anything other than a passenger car can hop in an RV the size of a bus without any training at all...Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

  3. For a small motorhome such as a Minnie Winnie (real name) based on the VW Eurovan or 1980s Toyota truck based one no special license is required. For a full size model like a Rexhall or Damon (the kind that looks like a bus) and has air brakes then you need a class A license.

  4. you do not need a class a licence even if you are driving a greyhound bus converted into an rv as long as it has rv plates on it ,atleast in the state of illinois anyway,
