What classes and/or degree do you need to become a 2nd grade teacher?

I would like to know which specific degree program early education teachers have taken. Also which classes fall under that degree, about how long it took you, whether you were a full time student or part time, and if you enjoy it. Thanks!

If you are referring to the State of California, it would be a Multi-Subject Credential and you would also need to pass the MSET and the RICA

To teach a primary elementary grade you can have a degree is either Elementary Ed or Early Childhood Ed.

The Early Ed degree though will limit you to teaching grades up to 3rd so it may not make you a viable candidate at some elementary schools.
