What classes do you usually take for an education major.

college has been on my mind and i want to major in elementray and/or middle school education. and get a teachers degree. what classes did you take?

also some for a major in spanish? what classes?

  1. I just graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I had to take general education classes of course. Then I took a lot of psychology courses and special education electives. Then, there is the education method courses of course. I also had a practicum in teaching and a student teaching.

  2. You have your basic english classes, 2 history classes, 2 math classes, public speaking classes, and then alot of education classes that will help you learn how to teach children.

  3. My school required the following for a BA in Elementary and Special Education:

    - 12 credits in English

    - 12 credits in science (at least one course in biological science and at least one course in physical science)

    - 12 credits in mathematics

    - 9 credits in social sciences to include U.S. History and Introduction to Psychology
