What cleaning agent is good to use on scum in the tub ?

Baking soda and a stiff brush.

I spray with Scrubbing Bubbles. Then I take a non-scratch Scotch Brite Pad with a little "Soft Scrub" cleanser and go over it. Then I rinse well.

After drying you can get a can of "Gel Gloss" to protect the tub. That will help keep the scum off in the future. (note: do not put the Gel Gloss on the bottom of tub, or it will be slippery).

Also, if you use a non-tallowate soap, or a body wash --- then you'll have less buildup.

If you can get a water softener, then you'll really reduce the problem. Hard water minerals, soap and skin cells is what creates scum.

I use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers all the time.  They work really well without chemical fumes and aren't hard on your hands.

yesterday i cleaned my bathtub with comet that has bleach in it i sprinkled it every where and left it sit for about 10 min then i took a scratch pad and started scrubing and the bathtub came out sparkling white. u can also try baking soda wiht vinager

I use a toilet scrubber (on a handle). My hub works with plastics and the shower/tub ends up coated with stuff, and the scrubber saves me from bending or stretching a lot.  I believe the one I have is Clorox.

With old fashioned cleanser (any brand) and a scrub brush, I can scrub my tub in less than a minute.  It takes another minute to rinse the tub, using a plastic pitcher I keep in the bathroom for that purpose.

Any product marketed for cleaning bathtubs will remove soap scum.  But, you still have to scrub, and rinse, and the fumes are toxic.

As a bonus, cleaning with cleanser only costs about 5% of the cost of cleaning with any more modern cleaner.
