My friend was boiling veggies and it overboiled onto the stovetop. There is a mark where it overboiled and I can't get it out. i'm worried to try something that could damage the surface.. Soap and water didn't work. Any Advice??

  1. No problems, ensure the stove top is cool to the touch, then just sprinkle the stain/mark with bi-carb soda and spray on white vinegar and when it 'fizzes' rub off with a pair of rolled up pantyhose stockings. Repeat as necessary, no danger of chemicals/fumes and won't hurt the stove, you or the earth. Inexpensive and easily available. Good luck!

  2. look out at Walmart.  i can't think of what it's called but, it's a mild abrasive and we used it on ours.  it's in the isle with the cleaners.

  3. First off, you should have a cleaner and a scraper that came with the glass top stove.  Scrape off the mess with the scraper and then polish it with the cleaner.

  4. try barkeeper master

  5. Use the razor blade scraper to get the majority of it off and then use Cerama-bryte to clean it.  They sell it at Lowe's, Home Depot etc.  It works great.
