What clock do you think will work in advance....?

three synchronize newtonian clock were made in the

earth frame, it is work by 1kg of mass..if one of them was placed in moon while the other one was placed in the jupiter at what place do you think the clock will go in advance.....

  1. I believe that the one on the Moon will tick faster than the one on Earth, and that the one on Jupiter will tick more slowly than the one on Earth - all due to General Relativity - stating that curved space causes time to slow down to an observer in that frame.

    Jupiter has stronger gravity than Earth, hence it will tick more slowly. The Moon has weaker gravity than the Earth, hence it will tick more rapidly. In the grand scheme, though, none of the three locations' gravity is very extreme, and you would have to leave the clocks running for quite a while before any noticeable difference between them arose. (assuming that they were perfectly accurate in keeping time, that is)


  2. did you meant that which clock was the first made, it was Shade Clock it was made by ancient Egyptians.

  3. well, it would depend on whether it was sent to jupiter in a space craft or it i just appeared there because moving clocks run slower than stationary ones, but what is said above is also true as gravity also has an effect on time.
