What clothes should I bring to go camping?

I'm going camping up in Wisconsin in 2 days. It's supposed to get into the 90s and very humid! What type of clothing is best if I'll be doing a lot of hiking and some light backpacking? (Light = carrying food/water for the whole day.)

Should I buy some of those fancy "moisture-wicking" shorts/shirts? Or will tshirts and regular shorts be alright?

  1. Hi this is JC wife we have 3 boys so we go camping alot.  Remember to pack a poncho in case it rains, wear pants while hiking because of bugs and in case you fall down I know its hot but trust me the bugs are worse, and cotton shirts there breathable plus cotton sports bra pack at least one thin long sleeve shirt because the temperature drops in the evenings and also for bugs.  Some other good items is some sanitation wipes, pepper spray, pocket knife, lighter, and a first aide kit.{why pepper spray because its good for mt. lions I know first hand and its also good for wild dogs and bears too.}

  2. I think you have to pack for all kinds of conditions. I think packing your regular shorts and T-shirt should be o.k.
