I heard that you should bring an outfit that fit when you were six months pregnant. can I go by this? I can't exactly bring my entire wardrobe, I only have one bag for myself and its not all that big.

  1. I took a couple pairs of cotton shorts (ugly, but very comfy), a pair of yoga pants (stretchy) and a few of my hubby's big tees.

I didn't like the gown--it kept getting twisted.  I did wear it the first 12 hours or so after birth.

You WILL bleed a lot, but the blood spillage is very preventable through proper hygiene after the first day.

  2. Yup that's about right. Maybe even just a pair of sweatpants. You are going to want something that is comfortable. I know that when I had my two boys, I only wanted something comfy....even when I was leaving the hospital! I know that I was tired of my preggo clothes by the time they were born, so you might want to get something new for then! Hope things go well!!

  3. oh hon....i didn't even mess w/a real "outfit" i wore comfy cotton PJ bottoms and a t-shirt. comfort was more important to me than style.

i did make sure that my tops were a bit roomy in the top so if my milk came in i had room. (i get very large).

other than that i wore comfy house shoes and nothing tight or made of heavy material (like jeans)

  4. i am bringing a cotton sun dress. i'm 33 weeks pregnant and it still fits and i bought it when i was 12 weeks pregnant and it fit so no matter what size i am i know it will fit me and it is comfortable.

  5. Yoga pants and a roomy t-shirt are a good idea.

  6. In the hospital you will probably be wearing a hospital gown (unless you want to bleed all over your nice nighties).  So you just need something to wear home.

Don't fret about this too much.  A pair of adjustable maternity pants  (or a skirt/jumper if you prefer) and a shirt are all you need.

  7. I wore stretchy pajama pants and tshirt home....

    I didnt get anything special.

  8. I took a pair of sweat pants, a tank top, and a t-shirt.

I wore the Hospital gown while I was in the Hospital; I wore the sweat pants and tank top home.

Even if you're planning a vaginal birth, be sure to take something that is extremely comfy (around the tummy) in case you have to get an emergency c-section; you don't want anything that is going to be tight on the incision.

  9. i went home from hospital in size 10 jeans, that's what i was in at 6 months pregnant (hipsters not tight around waist)  so yes wear the clothes you are in at 6 months preg.

  10. I ended up having a c-section and when it was time to go home I had packed these yoga pants and a big shirt. Well big enough to fit me at 7-8 months pregnant, I had lost enough weight where they didnt fit me, so you might take something bigger and then something smaller. Just to be safe.

  11. Wear the same size clothes that you go in with.  You don't want to be trying to fit into something that is too small

  12. i brought black maternity sweat pants and nursing tank tops...i wasn't trying to be beautiful...not that there's anything wrong with that, but my goal was to be comfortable and not worry about staining anything

  13. I wore stretchy jogging pants and a big t-shirt. I think I also brought along a pair of maternity pants that I wore at the end of my pregnancy and they still fit.

  14. i wore a pretty wrap dress...comfy, adjustable, but still made me feel like me...not like i was sick.

it's still my favorite dress and i wear it at least once a week, lol.

  15. I just wore comfortable like sleeping pants..that were very lose fitting and a tank top. wear something lose.some people still wear their maternity clothes yes.
