  1. I would go with one more club than you normally hit from that distance, choke up a little, and take a controlled swing


  2. hit a "knock down 4 iron " and hit it hard, play it almost like a hard punch shot

  3. If it's in the rough and it's 1 ft. above my feet, that's a tough shot to put on the green......for me anyway.

    I would adjust my aim because you will have a tendency to pull the ball when it's above your feet.  (Below the feet, you will push)

    I would hit my 5-iron.  I normally hit it about 170 yards, but I might come up short since you note the ball is in the rough.

  4. For me, 7 iron.  Try to swing parallel to the slope of the incline.  Aim to the right of your target for a right handed golfer, left for left handed.  Choke down on the club about an inch.

  5. When in doubt, use a 5 iron...choked up.

  6. 7 or 8 iron works well when you choke up on them
