What club can you have in your bag?

I know you can have 14 clubs in your bag but I don't know how many iron's, woods, wedges ect. you can have...

I personally think you should carry whichever club makes the ball go in the hole fastest. lol

I would carry 14 putters, as this is the most important club in the bag.

You can carry any club which is considered legal by the USGA  and you are limited to a total of 14. You may carry whatever combination you desire of irons, woods, hybrids and putters. With the advent of hybrids many of the longer irons have been eliminated in favor of the new vogue.

The only set limit is 14 in your bag. You can choose the clubs you want in your bag. I'd suggest paying attention to the clubs that you use the most if you're having trouble narrowing it down. You can also speak to a golf professional at a specialty golf store.

You can carry 14 clubs in your bag.  The long clubs should go toward the strap.

Arrange your clubs in order so that they are easy to find when you are playing.  

The clubs you should choose are:

Pitching Wedge, Sand wedge, putter,-irons 2-9 5Wood, 3Wood, and driver (these last 3 in back by strap).

the 14 clubs can be composed in any way you wish. you could carry 14 pitching wedges if you so desire

there is no rules on what to carry, just how many.  Sometimes Phil Mich carries 4 wedges in his bag and takes out a long iron and fairway wood .

Golf is so personalized now there is no standard "Driver, 3 Wood, 5 Wood, 3 thru P, SW and putter" set of clubs anymore. You can carry 5 woods, 4 irons, 4 wedges and a putter. Like cdc said, whatever gets in the hole the fastest. If I buy a set of irons I buy a set of 6,7,8,9,P,G and SW. It is possible to order individual clubs. I just don't need to buy clubs that I'm not going to use. Buy what best fits your game.

It doesn't matter what they are as long as you don't have more than 14.  You could have all irons, all woods, or any combination you like.
