This is probably way outdated, but I remember a few years ago, Cielo in the Meatpacking district used to throw a great Monday night house music party.  It was like you went into a timewarp to a saturday night elsewhere.

As far as lounges, 230 Fifth (rooftop bar with panoramic view of midtown skyline from 17th floor of a buildilng) is consistently crowded weekround during the summer.
