  1. A very small portion touches Lake Michigan, which is in the mid-west, so it does not touch any coast.

  2. Like the above answer says. It would "technically" be called the east coast but is more central than coastal.

I would know, I live in central Indiana!! :D

  3. The State of Indiana (IPA: /ˌɪndiˈænə/) was the 19th U.S. state admitted into the union. It is located in the midwestern region of the United States of America. With about 6.3 million residents, it is ranked 15th in population and 17th in population density.[3] Indiana is ranked 38th in land area, and is the smallest contiguous state west of the Appalachian Mountains. Its capital and largest city is Indianapolis.

Indiana is a diverse state with a few large urban areas and a number of smaller industrial cities. It is known nationally for its sports teams and athletic events: the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, champions of Super Bowl XLI, the NBA's Indiana Pacers, the Indianapolis 500 motorsports race, the largest single-day sporting event in the world, and for a strong basketball tradition, often called Hoosier Hysteria.

  4. If you insist on placing it on a coast, it would have to be the "north" coast along the Great Lakes, and Lake Michigan to be specific

  5. North West Midwest!

  6. Indiana is not on a coast.  It is in the central part of the United States just east of the Mississippi River, north of the Ohio River, and west of the Appalachian Mountains.  We call this region the "Upper Midwest".

Indiana does have a short shoreline on Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes, but these lakes do not form a coast.

Indiana is east of Illinois, south of Michigan, west of Ohio, and north of Kentucky.
