  1. They study print, and broadcast journalism while majoring in sports reporting.


  2. There aren't many courses in "sports reporting." I didn't see one in my college career. There are courses in journalism.

    Covering sports if more about journalism than sports. You have to learn the language and the reporting skills in order to prosper. So you learn basic news writing, editing, interviewing, etc.
