What color carpeting would go good with this wall color? details inside?

i painted my room with a hot pink color. i am going to get wall to wall carpeting but i'm not sure what color to get. what do you suggest? this is the color i painted my room...

This will sound strange, but cream is a good colour, although hard to maintain in messy situations :)

you dont want your room to look to bright or dark...so maybe go with a plain white or cream colored. If you want some more interesting looking carpet, try a white with speckles of different colors in it. Or do a wood floor with a nice blue/pink striped rug.

everyone i've ever heard of gets real tired of hot pink before too long.  you might be better off getting something in an' area' rug that finishes off this 'hot' look and keeps the cost down for this time being.  if you want to get something that will work out and last through a few more 'new looks', get light cream or a light slate, that can blend in with all future color schemes.  it's called neutral.

Well, if you want a more funky, daring look, i would definately go for a cotton white shag carpet. My friend just got it (she has bright purple/blue indigo walls) and it looks great! Plus it feels so nice on your bare feet :D

I think she got it at lowes or home depot. They have these boards with a bunch of carpet samples so you can feel them and look to see which goes best in the room. You can choose the length of it so you can determine how "wild" you want it to look. I kind like the shorter, thinner shag but the chunky ones look cool too. Also, since the carpet would be shag, it doesn't get (or atleast look) as dirty as normal flat carpet would in white.

I think white is a good color because it will complement your vibrate wall without looking dull (like a beige might) or overbearing like another bright colored carpet. Even a darker carpet might look a little strange, so i deffinately think white would look good.

wow that's a pretty bright but beautiful color! i'd personally stick with something neutral and in the beige family but someone who loves color as i assume you do would probably find that way too boring!instead of a wall to wall how about a room size carpet in a zebra print or any black and white graphic print .ballarddesigns.com and homedecorators.com have several options to choose from and even ikea.com has some interesting ones!

If you are daring and willing to vacuum every day I would suggest a dark colour like navy, or even a printed carpet in black and white I will try to find something, keep looking at my answers I will post from time to time .

I believe that purple, navy, black and dark brown would look nice with the colour of the wall , if you change your mind you could put some laminated floor instead and have a couple of rugs beside the bed instead.

Using a color wheel (see link below) it seems as though a nice beige earthtone is the better match.  You might be able to swing a variation of a light green as well.
