What color curtains suit a small brown bedroom with white/beige carpet?

Question

I'm male so preferably not pink. I'm thinking of deep red though but the color may be too outstanding. I've tried light yellow but didn't like it cos once the sun shines on the curtains it looks really bad.

Also..shall I go for patterns or no patterns?

Get a solid curtain but one with a nice texture. Do either a matching shade to your carpet or a matching shade to your walls. The wall color may be a better option because it will give the illusion the room is continuing. A contrasting color breaks things up, which can make a small room look smaller.

Either white or cream would be your best choice.  A nice tone on tone stripe would be outstanding to offer some texture.  You can get lined curtains if you don't want the sun to stream through the fabric.  If you like red, then add red into your color scheme with throw pillows, etc.
