Question:

What color do I paint my kitchen walls?

Right now my kitchen is covered in cherry stamps (I did not do this!) I have natural wood colored counter tops, and white appliances. My cabinets have been painted as well. I want to know what wall color or colors would look good with white appliances and natural wood counter tops.

  1. Light yellow. Yum! Makes me hungry! Makes me think of banana creme pie! Seriously. It would be nice. Might have the same effect on your guests.

  2. to remove the bumps from the stamps you will need to sand the areas down first apply a coat of primer and then I would go Tuscan when it comes to colours ,this will give your kitchen warmth

  3. Paint them a light color.  I see lots of people with dark cabinets, dark counter tops, dark appliances, and dark walls then they complain about how dark their kitchen is.  Go with light colors and your kitchen will be bright, go with dark colors and your kitchen will be dark.  I've been working in a house  that has dark red walls, black counter tops, Bombay Mahogany cabinets and dark brown floors.  The lady is complaining about how dark her kitchen is.  She was told that she would have this problem when she started changing colors but she wouldn't listen so now she has a problem and gets to spend more money adding more lighting.

  4. Sand the cabinets and paint them a soft white or you can sand them really well and stain them a pretty dark cherry stain.

Go to the hardware store and look at the models they have of the cabinet color you choose and white appliances. Wood counter tops (butcher block counter tops) are in now so thats lucky for you!

Some colors I suggest you check out

    Yellows, tans, greens, aqua blues.

  5. What colour are your kitchen worktops / kitchen equipment etc? Try to match it but make the walls a bit lighter.

If your re-doing the whole kitchen - go for a nice yellow, I went with a eggshell yellow and it looks great! And really brightens the kitchen up. Looks really homely.

  6. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "domino" (# 6989) would look very modern. And with all of the white, it should provide a nice contrast & not be too overwhelming. Check these example rooms out:

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  7. Blue, red and yellow are considered apatizing.

  8. Society show that the kitchen walls should be, WHITE....

If you don't agree, then use your own judgement, thats what 8-10 people have there kitchen walls as, WHITE...

But... Then again, some people have more money then others, and they use wood trimming, IDK, like a wood design, ...

Almost all kitchens that Ive seen, ARE WHITE...

  9. Light brown, or yellow.

  10. green to show u ar  eco friendly

  11. an avocado color would look good.

you can go to sherwin williams.com and look at all the color on the walls with the same color counter top and appliances.

  12. my cabinets are all a creamy white and i painted the walls a light sage green and its really nice.
