  1. A very pale green or yellow? almost whte with a hue of a colour of your choice?

  2. stay clear of shades of red, pink or orange. These will enhance the green. Look for colors with blue, yellow, or even more green to de-emphasize the green cupboards.

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a blue like "poolhouse" (# 7603) might look nice.

  3. Maybe it would be easier to paint the cabinets?

  4. Not knowing what shade of green, it's hard to say, but earthtones like taupe, brown, beige or tan go well.
