  1. I could be wrong, but I understand that sharks' do not depend on their eyesight, instead using smell and electrochemical sensors to hunt. Most people that are bitten are only bitten once because the shark is taking a "test bite." If this is the case, the color of your fins are irrelevant. The shape would be more important. Some scientists believe that surfers are attacked because their profile, when seen from below, looks like a seal, one of the shark's favorite foods. As far as spearfishing goes, the blood in the water will be far more attractive to a shark than the color or shape of your footwear.

  2. Avoid life raft yellow.  Its the color most visible to the human eye from above, and to sharks.  The Navy's unofficial name for the color is a sick play on that fact, "Yum Yum Yellow".

  3. Very dark colors.

Like black, forest green, or brown.

  4. doesn't really matter, sharks hunt by electric signals, smell, and auditory means.  why do you think they have that protective membrane over there eyes when they attack?  most sharks attack blind, relying on there other predatory senses.

  5. blue- same as the water

    good luck!
