What color for granite?I am upgrading to granite counter-tops in my kitchen.?

My cabinets are oak color and floor is white/light gray veining ceramic tile. I like the darker colors, even though my house is all very light and pastel colors. Any suggestions?

A dark grey or black would look great. - Or something in a green family would be nice with oak.   I'd stay away from yellowy browns unless the stone has a little black or green in it because with a warmer shade of granite and warm-tone wood cabinets may clash with the "cooler" floor color.

A dark color can sometimes create a very classy look in any room. It has to match by being in the gray/brown family but I'd say go for the darker color. Add contrast to the room's colors.
