What color goes with taxicab yellow (for interior painting)

Question

My friend is repainting his house and he already painted most of the room taxi yellow. He wants to do a sun/sky theme. I don't really like the idea but it's too late since he already painted yellow and he seems to like it. Is the any way to fix it or any color schemes that might help the room look better? (the side walls are taxi yellow and he left the ceiling and the middle section of side walls white and wants to soon paint them blue)

Taxi cab yellow is a pretty bold color... try calming it down to a more pale shade of yellow.  Use pale (grayish) blue, sea green, browns, beige, and other more neutral colors to relax the room.  Check out this room design: http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/pac_ctnt_988/te...  This sight has a tool to help you in chosing the right color scheme, and one for making color corrections too.

Some brown and beige stuff for the yellow and for the blue...um...you should do white BUT doen blue would not be a good idea i did wat hes goen to do to my room and it was not pretty......you should do yellow and burgendy or brownish red/orange

I have yellow in my kitchen and I use colbalt blue and marron as accents. It really is all about what you like though.
