It looks like black with a tinge of red/purple. I've see this color before. I LOVE it! I'd dye my hair this color if I was bold enough.

IMO, L'Oreal Feria has two shades like that:

On the top row, click on #32 (Midnight Ruby) and #36 (Cherry Chocolate)

Personally, I LOVE the Cherry Chocolate color.

But what does it matter anyway??  It's just a name, doesn't mean a thing.

If you are thinking of getting the same colour, you would find the box with the same colour.  Of course, it will never look the same on you, because it mixes with your colour to produce the final result.  It takes a lot of skill to get exactly the colour and shade you want.

It would be best to take that pic to a professional hair colourist and let them find the right formula for you.  or you can do it yourself and get close enough (or not).
