What color highlights???PLEASE help?

I'm going to get highlights but I don't know what color to get.

My hair is strawberry blonde. I don't want it to look to preppy and I sorta want to do a funnky color like purple or blue any suggestions.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

i wouldn't do anything out of the norm. i would do a deep red or a really light blonde.

I'd say go with 2 colors - blond and dark red.

The only problem with doing a really funky color like pink, purple, or blue is that it fades really quickly. After dyeing the part you want it will be visibly lighter in about a week or so. This is so even with permanent dyes. The only colors that tend to stay the same are blonde's and brunette's. Red tends to fade as well. You could use a line of color protecting products, but if your not willing to use them religiously, then blonde would probably be your best bet.
