  1. The radiator fluid IS the engine coolant. They are one and the same. Most coolant is a greenish color that looks like Mt. Dew when mixed properly. I assume you don't mean the engine oil as the coolant, because they are two separate things. Some coolant is also sold in an orange color. As long as it's not rust colored or muddy looking. If that's the case, then you need to drain it and replace as soon as practical. With a 50/50 mix of coolant and water.

    They are the same thing.

Some cars use green fluids.  Other cars use red / organg fluid.  There should be NO Texture. Should be watery (not thick).

    Good Luck...

  3. All engine coolants are actually clear.  Dye's are added by the coolant manufacturer to give the stuff its color.  Different manufacturers use different color dye's in their product and there are also several different chemical formulatons (Ethyl-Glycol, Dex-Cool, G12) all of which can come in a variety of colors. Ethyl-Glycol for example people often think is green yet Toyota uses this coolant with a red dye and Ford with yellow as do some aftermarket coolant manufacturers.

Short answer is - you can't judge a coolant by its color.

  4. should be a green colour and watery.

  5. "radiator fluid" is coolant. It should be green, blue,or yellow most common is green. It should be watery.

  6. depends on your year make and model as to what color the coolant is, it can be green, red, or even blue, if it has been re-cycled, but its not supposed to be "muddy"
