  1. grey??

  2. The lunar regolith is how it appears, grey/white/dark no vibrant colours there =\

though if your in space you can see a bit of brown and red splished here and there not much though

  3. Despite it's relatively white appearance, the Moon's overall color is rather dark, like the color of slate.  If the Moon was much lighter in color, the reflected light from a full moon would make nighttime look like daytime.

  4. a powdery greish white

  5. it should be noted that the Lunar Highlands are lighter in color and consist of mostly plagioclase feldspars.

still, everyone is essentially correct... much of the Moon's surface has just about the same reflectivity as a blackboard.

  6. How about some quotes from the incredible men who went there:

"Essentially gray; no color," said Lovell, "like plaster of paris or a sort of grayish beach sand." ." - James A. Lovell, Apollo 8

"The LM footpads are only depressed in the surface about 1 or 2 inches, although the surface appears to be very, very fine grained, as you get close to it. It's almost like a powder. (The) ground mass is very fine." - Neil Armstrong, Apollo 11
