Just like during the day, it's blue.  It's a lot darker though so it looks black.  If you ever take a picture of the sky at night that's really long (like long enough to see a bunch of stars) it will appear blue.

the sky is only blue because of the particles naturally in the air when sunlight hits them...when there is no sunlight to make these particles have color it would seem that the sky is no color (I.e. black is the absence of color)... now if that light is reflected off the moon and back to earth it would seem that it could be blue but just not light up enough for us to see

The sky (our atmosphere) is transparent.  During the day, sunlight is scattered in the sky by the very bright Sun - blue light is scattered more than red, so the sky appears blue.  But it's still transparent - that's why you can see the Moon during the day, and even planets if you know where to look.  At night, it's more obvious that its' transparent without the Sun scattering light all over it.  The universe is mostly black, so that's why the sky appears mostly black.

color is a trick of the sun, so when the sun is not out and there is no light there is no color so i guess you can say it's black

nothing really...its all about reflections. The sky doesnt have a color. If you wre up there the air..or no air would look the same as down her....but in your case, id say black looking at it.

blue. the sun isn't shinning on you so it looks black but its still blue.
