  1. purples :]

  2. I have blue eyes as well. Its really strange actually because i have black hair and my eyes are very very bright blue. Anyway, I like to use neutral colors. Stick to browns and golds. A little shimmer is cute. You can still do a lot with it. You can do the smokey look at night. I also wear dark brown eyeliner, not black. I try to stay away from bright colors because i just feel like i look like a clown with bright blue eyes and blue or pink make up.

  3. MK offers great colors and quality. You should give them a try. There is a link below for you to click and see what colors look good on blue eyes and they have a Virtual Makeover section wear you can upload a picture of yourself and see what colors look good on you before you purchase. You have to Login or Register if you don't have an account but it's quick, free and easy. I hope you find what you want, take care!

  4. if you go to your local drugstore, there is a line of ALMAY products designed specifically for each individual eye color.  it is called "intense i-color"

and there are two different "shade blends" in some case...one is called "bring out the (insert eye color here)" and the other is called "play up the (insert eye color here)".  for example, my eyes are hazel, with green in them.  so i bought two different mascaras and shadows.

the one to bring out the hazel, the colors make hazel eyes (or would be blue in your case) pop...the shades are browns and pink and black mascara

then i bought play up the green to bring out the green that i do have in my eyes.  the shades are shades of green and tan and a raisin quartz mascara.  they really do bring the green out.

anyway...if you're looking for an easy way to enhance your eye color, almay's intense i-color line is great and not so expensive either!

  5. You have to experiment because there are different tones of blue.  A lot of colors look good but some look better.  I think the beige and browns looks best on all blue eyes but you may even look good in plums or grays.  The absolute prettiest colors on blue eyes is Nars Summertime Duo.  It is so pretty and you can use one or both and control how much color you want for day or night.  It has some shimmer which looks really stunning too.

But if you look up the colors, you can see what shades you can try by other makers.  Use a light gold type or cream color near the inner corners of your eyes and the more bronze color to contour in the crease and outer corner.  You can't go wrong with those colors.  If your lashes are pale, curl them and add mascara to really make your eyes stand out.

  6. It depends. Are your eyes more grayish, or heading towards the green, or just plain blue?

Though, I don't wear any makeup, my sister has pretty blue eyes like this,

and they always look good with grayish white, black (just not too heavy), teal, and just regular blue.

  7. To debunk the myth, there are no particular eye shadow colors that are perfect for blue eyes. When the color is the right shade and applied correctly, I believe that a person with any color of eyes can wear any color of eye shadow. Because that doesn't help you go to the store and pick out an eye shadow here are some guidelines.

    Colors to avoid:

There are several colors that seem like perfect matches for blue-eyed folk, which in reality don't work best for blue eyes. But, don't count them out completely. If they work for you, I say go for it!

Blue  Blue often competes for attention with the natural blue of the eye, and so distracts from the eyes, which should be the center of attention.

Brown  Brown eye shadow, although it seems the natural opposite of blue eye shadow, tends to clash with blue eyes and make them appear duller. This may be because the warm brown tones are in opposition to the cool blue tones. Instead of reinforcing the blue of the eye, the brown draws attention away from the eye.

Gold  Gold clashes with blue as well, for the same reason brown does, though if you have tan skin you could possibly make it work. As an alternative, silver works well because it is a cool tone which draws out the blue, and it can add the same attention-grabbing shimmer as gold.

Try some shimmer.  If you're nervous about choosing the wrong color, then don't pick a color! Try putting some body glitter, or even bronzer, above your eye for attention-getting sparkle. If you're adventuresome, and want only a little color, try silver. Don't forget the mascara, though. Nearly nude eyes will need the definition of a coat of mascara.

1.Take a silver shadow and apply it from your eyelashes to your eyebrow.

2.Then apply lavender from your eyelashes to just above the crease. Blend it well into the silver so you can't see a distinct line.

3.Then take violet and apply it in a "v" from the middle of your eyelid to the outer corner. Blend very, very well. You want it to look like a gradual change of color, not distinct lines.

4.Line your eyes with charcoal or dark gray eyeliner.

    5.Apply mascara.

You can adjust the colors to be icy pink with fuschia, light and dark turquoise, taupe, gray and bright blue, silver and bright blue, taupe and green, etc. The list goes on and on.

  8. I use either plum/gray or gold/brown usually, depending on what I'm wearing.  Every once in a while, I'll go with a smokey black or ice blue/silver.
